Background: Poor electrical connections like the one above are very common around us. Moreover many of us never do anything to correct them. I want to believe that it is because we do not understand the magnitude to hazard associated with poor electrical connections.
Reasons why we must avoid poor electrical connections:
1. They can cause electrocution.
2. They can start a fire.
3. They can damage an equipment by causing a short-circuit.
These are just a handful of reasons. There are many more. Please avoid poor electrical connections by all means.
