Background
An A-Ladder is a special kind of ladder that opens-up into an "A" position. It is usually used to perform minor tasks around occupational work areas, offices, and even in the home. I have seen many people using an A-Ladder the wrong way, and will like to explain how an A-Ladder should be used correctly.
The Right Way
The following listed expectations should guide you whenever you want to use a ladder:
1. Inspect the ladder before each use to be sure it is in a good condition
2. Make sure that the ladder is right for the height you want to reach.
3. Ensure that you establish a 3-point contact on the ladder always.
4. Face the ladder while working.
5. Use the correct shoes on ladders to avoid a slip.
6. Ensure that all 4-legs of the ladder are firmly on the ground.
7. Do not use the last 2 rungs on a ladder when working on heights above 1.2m
These should help you stay safe on ladders. Thank you.
